Kindled Flame StudiosIndependent ideas. Tangible work.
The studio

One creative direction.
Room to build.

Kindled Flame Studios is my public home for software, AI tooling, research in progress and freelance projects. Nightfall Studios gives games and their worlds a distinct place within that home.

Justin Almquist

Designer. Inventor.
Director of the work.

I’m Justin. I design and manage complex systems every day. My role is to imagine what they could become, shape how they behave and guide them through implementation and actual use.

I direct implementation through AI teams. I own the vision, workflow design and iteration, and test the results in the systems I use and manage. My earlier experience includes coding; today, implementation runs through my AI teams while I focus on design, direction, validation and system management. KFS is an independent studio.

The studio’s projects range from tools for preserving AI conversations to desktop voice workflows and games in development. Each starts with a real experience I want to make possible.

The common thread

Keep the spark.
Show the substance.

Practical tools. Make work easier to preserve, recover and use. Local processing is the default where supported; optional cloud services involve your explicit choices.

Honest project status. A public repository, an experiment and a released product are different kinds of proof. The project directory makes those boundaries visible.

Worlds with their own voice. Games and connected stories belong at Nightfall. Their development deserves a clear identity and space to evolve.

Milestones over noise. Share a release or a meaningful step when there is something concrete to show.
